
INGREDIENTS

2 cups roughly chopped broccolini, stalks included
2 cups roughly chopped kale, stalks removed
1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
2 tablespoons pinenuts
1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
Juice of half a lemon
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil

METHOD
​
1.Lightly toast pine nuts in a frypan on the stove over a low heat for 5-8 minutes
2. Lightly steam the broccolini and kale, keeping it slightly firm, and still bright in colour, remove and allow to cool
3. In a seperate bowl, mix olive oil, sesame oil, lemon juice, and cracked black pepper together
4. Toss the cooled kale and broccolini through the olive oil salad dressing, mix well and add sesame seeds and toasted pine nuts before serving

SUGGESTIONS AND TIPS;

You can add a mixture of different fresh herbs to this salad for a different flavour, also in place of broccolini you could use broccoli.
